ROWDY Youth on the Move Allstars

To encourage and promote peer mentoring and volunteerism.Youth from local area high schools are selected by their school counselors for their volunteerism and community involvement and invited to have lunch with Rickie and some past and present NBA players. This event is held in the city that hosts the NBA All Star game.

ROWDY Youth on the Move Bowl-A-Thon and Higher Education Fair

To encourage and promote higher education and community. Exceptional inner city youth are ‘recruited’ to serve. Volunteers are invited to partner with Rickie to assist with the enrichment camp(s). Youth entering Middle School are targeted to participate in an effort to provide additional supports during the transition to Middle School.

Objective: To educate youth on the  importance of character; includes anti drug, diversity and anti gang component; encourages volunteerism and community involvement

Free Throw Frenzy/Powerful 3 Point Play

Objective: To educate youth on the  importance of staying in school and pursuing a higher education

Jump Shot/Just Dunk It

Objective: To educate youth on general health and wellness issues in our community; high blood pressure, diabetes, impact on health care costs; stresses the importance of physical activity and nutrition;
